About UsSigma Tau Gamma is a social fraternity founded on June 28, 1920 at University of Central Missouri, by 17 veterans of the First World War. Since our humble beginnings, Sigma Tau Gamma and our principles have spread to over 140 campuses nationwide with an alumni base of over 75,000 men.
The Alpha Chi chapter was originally Witanshire Fraternity, a local fraternity founded in 1946. After a much debate, Witanshire decided to charter as the Alpha Chi Chapter of Sigma Tau Gamma on May 9, 1953, and has welcomed over 900 members since our inception. Our vision is one where our members are great men dedicated to their own self-improvement, great brothers dedicated to supporting each other, and great citizens dedicated in service to their college and country.
